Undecided

Ek sal later 'n meer "formele" RR op my blog sit as almal se fotos opgelaai is.

Eerstens, my "weapon of choice" vir die naweek - die Yamaha TTR250 - R49 999 vir die puppy.

Brand spanking new Cool

Eerste bestemming - Montagu Pas:

Four cousins - Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki & Honda:

Evil

Die 4 scramblers lyk net so cool. Cool

Elke besoek aan Montagu Pas moet so foto he:

Het ek genoem ek laaik die bike?

Oppad af:

Next stop - die plaas. Head Bang

Volgende bos toe!

LGF se tweede insident: Evil

Cassie Botha:

Situasies soos die is algemeen in Trailriding - gelukkig is klein bikes lekker lig. Cool

Smidty:

LGF:

Dis bitter mooi hier.

Eek!

Hy is mos bang Cassie. Hier by 3 uur hol iets oor sy voet Cheesy Ek vertel hom toe die skerpioene hier raak so groot soos krewe! Eek! Smile

Die volgende oggend:

My en Cassie se hammocks - syne is minder "stealthy". Cheesy

Oppad terug:

By die plaas huis aangekom was my pa baie bekommerd.

Yup! Smile

With these things you have to roll with the punches. Cool

Die trip sal ek onthou in my laaste uure voordat ek dood gaan.

Toktokkie the TTR suspension is probably the best feature of the whole bike. It's simply amazing. Probably the best suspension I've come across on a small bike. Good suspension with loooooooong travel.

And TTR owners still upgrade that with YZ USD forks.

TR, thanks once again for organising this ride - it was definitely one of the best we've had!  A1
Like we were saying round the fire - it's the ride with the "incidents" that one never forgets - I'm not saying that we don't enjoy the trouble-free rides - but somehow they are just not as memorable. Cassie and Smidty - it was great riding with you again - Cassie - thanks for all the wood gathering and gate closing  Smile. Smidty - thanks for the great coffee!
I'll start uploading my pics shortly.

I took the old road to George - this is just before Saasveld.

First drinks break on Montague Pass for TR to photograph the TTR.

Riding around the farm. It the 1st time I've ever ridden wothout a helmet - man, it feels good!.
Luckily my little slide didn't cause much harm  Smile

Some prime beef strolling around the farm - they are milk cows actually!

One of the BEAUTIFUL braai spots in the indigenous forest on the farm!

Cassie regretting the 3 sips of WIndhoek Lager he took!

A little tree growing out of one of the seats - sorry the focus is on the background not the tree  Roll Eyes

Gathering place for the fairies  Smile

The inimitable Mr Botha opening the first of many gates....

Did you know that TR enjoys small bikes?  Wink

Now we're on our way to "the spot"

TBC...

Beautiful fynbos along the way

and crystal clear mountain streams

I pitched my tent in the road - when the thunderstorm struck, I dived inside and watched little streams of water go by...

The DRZ getting a good wash....

...and the view...

If it had rained all night, I would have had to move the tent  Smile

The first of the 3 fires - the wet wood kept going out.

TR going with the flow

Smidty trying to dry out a bit

Cassie on the lookout for baboons... Smile

TR drying out...

TR trying to magically attract Smidty's beker into his hand...

Water, ferns and indigenous forest - what more could you ask from an idyllic camping spot

On the way back the next morning

TR waiting for us to re-group (Cassie didn't enjoy the downhills - especially on his motard tyres  Evil)

Back onto the farm.

Thanks to all of you for a truly memorable trip!  A1
