How much did you bid on it? I'm sure that the more you bid the more you pray! If you don't pray enough you will pay more because you lost the bid!

GEORGE NEWS - According to Paul Gerber, Fire Protection Association Chairman, the fire that raged in the Outeniqua Mountains on Monday is reasonably under control but far from completely doused: "The rain that fell last night has helped somewhat, but on the Oudtshoorn side of the Outeniqua Mountains the veld is tinder dry as no rain has fallen there. This makes it difficult to contain the fire on the Waboomskraal side."
Fire fighters from MTO, Cape Nature, Eden District Municipality, George Fire Department, Fire Protection Association, and DWAF have to keep a constant watch so that the fire does not escape and spread again. A total of 6000 hectares has been affected by the fire.
Gerber says he is expecting fire fighters to stay busy with the fire for the next week.
A helicopter is on stand-by to help fight the fire. Water tankers, Unimogs and all types of fire fighting vehicles have been deployed but there are difficult terrains such as deep ravines that are near-impossible to reach.

Ok sorry for the wait, but my week so far has been hectic!
Eerste stop
Maar vuur he tons gemaak!

GEORGE NEWS - Teams of fire fighters have been battling to contain a runaway bush fire in the Jonkersberg area for the past four days.
A mountainous area of 6000 hectare has already burnt down. The fire started when lightning struck the area on Saturday at 18:30, and has been difficult to contain as it spread into rugged mountain and ravine terrain.
Gerber says he is expecting fire fighters to stay busy with the fire for the next weeks. A Working on Fire helicopter (Hiey) is on standby. The fire is still burning in terrains such as deep ravines that are near impossible to reach.
